In 2012 our adventure began. We purchased our property in Glendevie in the far south of Australia. Around 2014 we sold our house in suburban Western Australia and moved everything we owned 4,194 kilometres to beautiful Tasmania. Living in a shed, we built our dream home on the 83acre property and while that happened I started putting a small trail camera out hoping to get glimpses of the nocturnal animals that we could hear in the quiet of the night from our shed. Since then I’ve added a second camera. Pademelons, wallabies, possums, wombats, Tasmanian devils and bandicoots are common on the property at night. Pademelons, cute small wallabies, bounce to the house surrounds at dusk to feed on the vegetable scraps that I throw out on the grass for them. After dark, possums visit the decking to peer in at us through the windows, and nibble on my herb garden! Over the years I’ve been able to get photos and videos as they go about their night lives. I hope you enjoy browsing through them and I hope to add many more.
